Friends of Ispin

In another room lit with purple flames,
A monument stands inscribed with names,
The Friends of Ispin rested here,
to get accustomed to their new gear.

Spectral skeletal horses took shape,
And threatened Gilbert with a fate worse than rape,
Marcus quickly calmed each stallion,
and they coalesced into a holy medallion.

Macho Mage, with strength of arm,
Retrieved an iron Reorx charm,
And a magic battleaxe,
To aid Kanathar’s melee attacks.

The heroes found an ancient armoury rack,
And took a few things without ghostly attack,
A magical sword, a cloak made of leaves,
A piece of mithril armour without any sleeves.

Kanathar unwisely snatched a fat purse
from the belt of a corpse that carried a curse,
His theft caused a pair of mad ghosts to awaken,
But they went away once he’d returned what he’d taken.

A grand hall wreathed in magic purple flames
Lined with statues of knights devoid of names,
Leads to an altar of Marcus’ deity,
Its significance lost on those of the laity.

Karyon and Macho, both Fargab equipped,
Trailed Kanathar, Gilbert, and Marcus to the crypt.
The doorway was flanked by sculpted knights,
And the stairway was lit by violet lights.

Into their midst, an elf maiden slipped,
Leedara beseeched they make haste to the crypt.
Down there was a secret she said must be kept,
They heeded her word, and cryptward they crept.

The spirit of Caradoc sows confusion,
As he continues his ghostly intrusion.
With deviousness he manipulates fears,
Flips them all off, then disappears.

The spirit of Caradoc entered Macho Mage,
And sent him into a senseless rage.
The Friends attacked Macho to get at the ghost,
Who finally got beaten out of his host.
