By the river’s edge, in evening twilight,
Kanathar calls on Titarr’s might,
Amazed and grateful, the weary rise,
Restored to health by the God of Skies.

By the river’s edge, in evening twilight,
Kanathar calls on Titarr’s might,
Amazed and grateful, the weary rise,
Restored to health by the God of Skies.

Miat recruited them, their bond was their word,
Marcus, Karyon, Gilbert and his bird.
With oaths sworn in Kalaman’s halls,
They pledge to stand as the Dragon Army falls.

Bakaris the Elder spins a tale, false and grand,
But the Friends of Ispin make a truthful stand.
The council wavers under noble deceit,
Yet truth prevails, as lies face defeat.

Bakaris stands, his smugness on display,
But the Friends of Ispin brush him away.
No fool can halt their destined path,
So they stride past him, ignoring his wrath.

In Kalaman’s streets, Karyon buys a hand crossbow,
While Marcus glimpses Kiri-Jolith, with a divine glow.
One prepares for battles with weapon in hand,
The other feels the god’s presence, strong and grand.

Gilbert and Karyon, with sweet soothing words,
each befriend different meat-eating birds.
Gilbert is gentle, but Karyon’s keener,
One man is left with an untouched wiener.

By the fires, Kanathar speaks, his words a guiding light,
Giving alms to the weary, as faith endures the night.
Yet Marcus’ gaze lingers, on Darrett’s gleaming plate,
A heart torn between envy and the trials of fate.

Fleeing the draconian army, our five heroes row away,
With Darrett, Jeyev, and villagers, they seek the light of day.
Vogler burns behind them, the flames a mournful glow,
Three rowboats hold their hopes, as down the river they go.

With Vogler in flames, Macho Mage fights an ogre’s might,
Kanathar tends his flock, guiding them to a boat’s flight.
Gilbert and Karyon save tomes, their task now almost complete,
Darrett and Marcus stand watchful, ready for a swift retreat.

Marcus, thrilled to face a dragon’s might,
Discovers instead a siege engine’s fright.
Steel and steam spewing fire and dread,
As Vogler burns, Kanathar forges ahead.
